My Daily Quarrel with Life: Tuesday, December 11, 2018

Have you ever had a moment when you realized that all your preconceived notions about a person were completely wrong? That someone you thought didn't care about you really did? That someone you assumed was unfriendly and standoffish turned out to be shy? That someone you never saw smiling was suffering through terrible sadness and blossomed into smiles when you smiled at them?

Yeah, that happened to me today. It was a good reminder of this scripture, one of the ones I keep coming back to:
And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive. (Alma 7:23)
I need to remember this and do this, so I don't become like Yancy, the disobedient horse.
